Your personal statement is a reflection of you and your story. How will it be written?
What is this?
Jeffrey Kou, MSOT, OTR/L, a board-certified and licensed occupational therapist will help you outline, edit, and review your personal statement drafts for your occupational therapy application(s).
Who is it for?
Students applying for an occupational therapy graduate program – either directly or through OTCAS.
What is the process?
- Book a meeting and pay the service fee.
- Meet on Zoom to learn more about your story and your goals.
- Develop an outline (if you haven’t already).
- Send a draft for me to review.
- Receive feedback and repeat the process if needed.
- Upload your final personal statement to your application!
How much does it cost?
$100 sent via Paypal or Venmo. Book me with confidence: if you are not completely satisfied with my service, you can get a partial $50 refund.
Do you offer this service internationally?
Yes! While OT school requirements may be different overseas, the personal statement prompts are all very similar. I work with applicants virtually over Zoom, e-mail, and Google Docs.
How long will it take?
You will be able to schedule an appointment to speak with Jeff depending on availability. Schedules are open up until a month from today. Turnaround times also vary, but are no later than 1 week for draft revisions and feedback.
How many drafts do I get?
This will depend on how many drafts need editing, but there is technically no theoretical limit to the number of drafts you can send. Of course, we will try to be as efficient as possible and I understand there are deadlines to meet to submit your application.
Why should I hire you?
As a certified and licensed who graduated from a rigorous graduate program, I have also had my capstone project published in an academic journal. I am an avid writer who writes high-quality academic content with attention to detail for this website, podcasts, videos, and more. I regularly provide this service to OT school applicants.
I will work with you to understand your story to make you shine as a candidate for your dream occupational therapy school.
Are there any guarantees?
While there are no guarantees that my service will result in your acceptance into an OT program, I will provide general guidance for your application process to give you peace of mind and to help you maximize your chances of getting accepted.
