Left Right Discrimination for Stroke (Set 2)

A set of 20 images for patients who have had a stroke to practice differentiating between left and right. Quiz yourself with these flashcards to improve your cognitive and functional performance after a stroke. Based on the principles of left-right discrimination from Graded Motor Imagery (GMI).

Improve your own time to progress your stroke recovery! The average time for normal recognition of human hands is 2 seconds +/- 0.5 seconds. 2×20=40 seconds. 2.5×20=50 seconds. Therefore “normal” time for all of the questions should be 40-50 seconds. However, these norms are just for reference. The best comparison would have been your time before your stroke compared to after your stroke. Unfortunately, we likely don’t have this data. Accuracy also counts – 80% correct is considered passing.

Wishing you the best in your recovery!
