The NBCOT® Exam consists of four domains:
- Evaluation and assessment – 25%
- Analysis and interpretation – 23%
- Intervention management – 37%
- Competency and practice management – 15%
Evaluation and Assessment
- Acquiring information that would impact occupational performance during the OT process.
Analysis and Interpretation
- Determining conclusions in regard to the client’s needs.
- Developing an intervention plan during the OT process.
Intervention Management
- Selecting client-centered interventions throughout the OT process
Competency and Practice Management
- Managing professional activities as guided by evidence-based practice, regulations, and standards of practice to promote quality occupational therapy services.
Passing
Test-takers must receive a score of 450 or higher to successfully pass the NBCOT® exam.
