To determine if the client’s performance of occupation has changed from the result of interventions. Revisions to the intervention plan may help the client achieve more appropriate goals.
- Evaluates and substantiates progress toward goal completion
- Establishes the effectiveness of intervention
- Helps to develop progressive goals.
- Informs the selection of different intervention approaches
- Determines if a change in the intensity of services is necessary
- Considered a routine aspect of the intervention
- May be billed to third-party payers when significant complications or modifications are made compared to the original condition.
- Goals that are met are upgraded or discontinued.
- Indicates if continuation is needed, discharge is needed, a different level of care is needed, or referral to specific experts.
