- Bronchodilator – a medication used to dilate the bronchi and bronchioles
- Cyanotis – blue color, usually caused by deoxygenation
- Dyspnea – difficulty breathing
- Erythrocyte – red blood cell
- Eupnea – normal breathing
- Expiration – exhalation of air out of the lungs
- Hyperpnea – forced or excessive breathing
- Inspiration – inhalation of air into the lungs
- Lingual – pertaining to the tongue
- Respiratory Zone – structures involved in gas exchange
- Rhinorrhea – runny nose
